Signify's Jagmag Pathshala Transforms 56 Tribal Schools, Benefiting 18,200 Children
Signify has completed its Jagmag Pathshala CSR initiative across 56 Government Residential Tribal Welfare Schools in Andhra Pradesh's Parvathipuram Manyam district, benefiting over 18,200 tribal children through improved lighting and infrastructure.
The project upgraded learning infrastructure across the district's tribal welfare schools through the installation of energy-efficient ceiling fans, tube lights, and outdoor lighting systems. The improvements have created brighter, more comfortable, and safer learning spaces by enhancing classroom visibility, supporting student well-being, and improving overall school functionality.
According to Signify, better-lit and well-ventilated classrooms have contributed to improved attendance, increased student engagement, and greater participation in both academic and sports activities. The installation of enhanced outdoor lighting has also strengthened campus safety, providing students and staff with a more secure, inclusive, and enabling environment throughout the day.
Speaking on the initiative, Nikhil Gupta, Head of Strategy & Marketing, Signify, Greater India, said, "Every child deserves a classroom that is safe, comfortable, and conducive to learning. Through this CSR initiative, we have been able to address an essential but critical need in tribal welfare schools across Parvathipuram Manyam. Bringing reliable lighting and ventilation to these schools reflects our continued commitment to using innovation for brighter lives and a better world, especially for communities that need it the most."
The initiative reinforces Signify's commitment to harnessing the power of light to create brighter, safer, and more inclusive communities. As part of the company's expanding portfolio of CSR initiatives across India, the project reflects its continued focus on advancing education, enhancing community well-being, and delivering meaningful social impact through innovative and sustainable lighting solutions.
